This is a heavy, hand-carved traditional Ekuk mask from the Congo Basin. It has that distinct heart-shaped face and really deep, rhythmic carving that catches the light and gives it a ton of character. It feels solid and has a presence to it. The Kwele people used these masks in ceremonies to channel peaceful spirits, resolve local conflicts, and restore harmony.
