Kevin’s process of creating paper starts with hydrating natural fiber such as cotton and Abaca. The fiber pulp is hot water dyed to set permanent vibrant colors. The pulp is then hand screened from the water vats into large format pieces of cloth paper and air dried. These abstract pieces are cut, partitioned and reimagined on a canvas grid also covered in hand screened fiber. His method is as unique as his final artwork. His art is a combination of exciting color and interesting form that results in lively sculptures and paintings. The artwork’s shape and expression are as visually pleasing as they are meaningful.
