Description

Up for sale from a private personal collection is a beautiful piece of neo-vintage Swiss luxury: a mid-1990s Frederique Constant Genève Automatic Chronograph (Reference FC-392X5B4/5/6). This exquisite timepiece features a polished gold-tone case housing a crisp matte white dial. The dial layout includes a three-register chronograph setup, elegant leaf-style hands, applied hour markers, and a quick-set date window perfectly positioned at 6 o'clock. The true highlight of this watch is the sapphire crystal exhibition case back (see image 1000060869.jpg), which proudly displays the beautifully decorated Swiss automatic movement and the signature Frederique Constant gold-plated rotor. The watch comes mounted on its original tan alligator-grain leather strap with a matching gold-tone buckle. Condition & Note: Aesthetically, the watch head is in excellent vintage condition with minor surface wear to the gold-tone case appropriate for its 30-year age. The sapphire crystals on both the front and back are clean. Please note: The original leather strap is showing significant wear and cracking from age (see image 1000060868.jpg) and will likely need to be replaced by the buyer. [Insert mechanical status here, e.g., The automatic movement is currently ticking and running / The watch has been sitting and may require a standard routine cleaning/service]. Sold as-is. A fantastic opportunity to own an early, high-complication Swiss timepiece from a prestigious Geneva manufacturer.
