Bose 901 Series V with Equalizer! We are downsizing our studio. We will be adding more listings in the future. Please check our other listings. We are downsizing our studio and selling equipment that we thought we would hold on to and never sell. Here we have our Bose 901 Series V speakers with equalizer. (For those that know about these speakers will tell you that the Series V was the most purchased and favored series of the Bose 901 speaker system.) Many improvements were made on this series and therefore it is the favorite. Again, for those that know these speakers also know that many store them incorrectly and you'll find the suspension rings or the "individual speaker lining rings" corroded, cracked, or crumbling. This is not the case here! See pictures. Notice a nice color and shine on the speakers. They are not faded and you can even still see the "Bose" logo on the cone! Just to have a goodbye for our baby we played several albums that were specifically produced for the 901 Series that creates the wonderful sound separation. (Basically no matter where you sit, you can pin point with your eyes closed where each person was standing with their instrument on stage or in the studio while recording their song.) We definitely didn't think of selling these at all! (On EBay the equalizer sells for $275 alone and speakers $500-$800 with other listings. Equalizer: There are 2 inputs and 2 outputs on the back of the equalizer. Please see pictures. We have only ever used 1 input and 1 output That's what 99% of everyone use. If that is all you will use as most people, you will not be interested in the next section here. But if you plan on using both outputs, please read this. (After testing the second output, we found there was no sound. We researched the issue and found it to be a "normal issue with a simple cheap repair." (It is a 10 microfarad 35V capacitor that needs replaced as my research uncovered. There are numerous videos on youtube showing this simple repair. There is really nothing to this board inside the equalizer. It's very simple. Since we are not doing the repair, please take this purchase as a "1 output does not work" in case you can't repair it." The capacitors are $.35 cents each and are nothing special and easy to buy as we saw on doing a quick search. Most people just replace all at the same time. They have just 2 simple soldering spots each. The nice thing is that since this is the audiophile style equalizer to create rich sounds, capacitors are used instead of full electronics to create and adjust sound so repairs are easy and cheap. I would not like to open the equalizer to make sure the next owner has a system that was unopened. Also for the reason that the new owner may never use 2 channels as we did for our studio so why crack the seal. (Please do your own research, on youtube. "Bose 901 Series 4 Equalizer Repair". More information on the inputs and outputs. Both channels are exactly the same including all the input and output values. That means there is no sound quality difference.
