Selling my 1st Gen (~5 years old) Union splitboard bindings. These were Union’s top of the line splitboard bindings at the time (500$). I just got some Sparks R&D’s and no longer need these. These are in really good shape considering how much they have been used. I have all the original parts including the adjustment tool and extra parts. I also have the crampons for these which I have yet to use (Luckily). I want to mention the last 3 close up photos of the highback touring/walk mode system. It’s a tongue and groove system where the tongue was designed too deep and it took so much effort to rotate, that it cracked the highback forward lean adjustment. My solution was to cut and sand the tongues down (there is a picture of this) and add a washer to the highback forward lean adjuster. It works fine. I just skinned St. Helen’s with these in April. It’s now just a cosmetic issue but if you really want, you can order the Union Expedition highback from Union and replace them. Although that’s a softer highback which is why I didn’t. It is touring season and if you want to get into it or try Union splitboard bindings, these are a great deal.! I love the ride down of these bindings, they make the board feel more like a solid, but I wanted something more technical for the up so I got the Sparks. I would have gotten the new Union bindings (Actually ordered some and returned them) because they have a fatal flaw on the new pin system. This generation pin system works great.
