1997 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Classic – Project Bike – $800 OBO

Selling my 1997 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Classic as a project bike. This would be a good project for someone who has the time and knowledge to work on motorcycles. The previous owner told me the bike had run before, but it currently does not run. The bike has had wiring modifications done by a previous owner, and the electrical system needs further troubleshooting. What happened: The bike was previously able to turn over, but after two blue wires made contact with each other, it stopped working. I did not notice any smoke, popping sounds, or other obvious warning signs when it happened. The exact cause has not been diagnosed. Known details and issues: * Previous owners modified the wiring, so the electrical system needs to be checked. * The fuel line is disconnected and needs to be replaced. * A previous owner installed a Harley-Davidson carburetor and fabricated a custom bracket to mount it to the bike. * The bike is currently not running and will need troubleshooting and repairs. * A key is included. * Title paperwork is available, but the title transfer situation needs to be verified with the titled owner before purchase.
