Description

This is a magnificent hour glass issued by the National Maritime Historical Society in the 1990's. It was available exclusively from The Franklin Mint. This hourglass is a collector's dream! The sand is divided in to half hour increments, with the entire instrument being rotated on the free standing wood base. The glass is embellished with astronomical constellations, signs of the zodiac. It is crafted in precision cast metal, glass, and gold plated accents. The fish sculpture is crafted in pewter and plated in gold. Measurements: 10" tall, base is 5 1/8" in diameter Included is a detachable wooden base that features a nameplate reading 'The National Maritime Historical Society - The Maritime Hourglass'. Also included is a booklet that certifies the hourglass and includes an instruction manual.
