Description
Harp Guitar Co. parlor guitar. Made in the late 1800s, this was my great grandfather's guitar. It was restored by a luthier in Seattle in 1999. It has the original Brazilian rosewood back and sides and the original neck. The head was broken off and put back on very sloppily when I got it. The luthier put the head back on and reinforced it with rosewood on the front and back. She put a new Brazilian rosewood fretboard on and a spruce top with "bearclaw" marbling. She really had a way with parlor guitars and she really brought the sound out. It has the original coffin Case with a bird design inside. I'm guessing my great grandmother did that. I've really enjoyed playing it but I got diagnosed with Parkinson's disease a couple of years ago and don't play much anymore. So it's time to let someone else enjoy it.
