1965-72 Roaring Twenties Nightclub at Hoyt Hotel Swizzle Stick. The Hoyt hotel was located at NW 11th and Hoyt in Portland Oregon. This renown nightclub hosted famous performers including Count Basie, Duke Ellington, and Woody Herman. Guests included Frank Sinatra, Johnny Carson, Jane Russell, and Vincent Price. Variety acts and drag shows, including a Halloween Drag Ball that drew six hundred participants, were part of the entertainment. The hotel was demolished in 1977
