Description

Vintage Atlas 618 (also known as the Craftsman 101) metal cutting lathe. It has a 6” swing and can handle 18” between centers. These are relatively small hobbyist lathes that are good for aluminum, bronze, brass, plastics, and mild steel. This one is functioning in the manual mode, but the only real issue it has is I can’t get the auto feed to work. The half nuts may need replacing as they don’t seem to clamp down on the lead screw enough to engage. I got it to work for a short time and then it lost engagement and I can’t seem to get it back. I don’t have the time to tinker with it anymore. Comes with two modern block style tool holders, 3-jaw chuck, live center, tailstock chuck, and some tools for adjusting things on the lathe. Drum switch allows for forward and reverse operation. The cart it is on is included, but we can remove the lathe if you don’t want the cart. Cash, PayPal, Venmo, and Zelle accepted.
