Antique Horse Singletree Whiffletree 30” Forged Iron Primitive Farm Decor

Authentic antique horse-drawn singletree, also known as a whiffletree, swingletree or whippletree, measuring approximately 30 inches long. Constructed with an original solid hardwood beam and hand-forged wrought-iron hardware, including the distinctive end hooks, center draft ring and suspension components. Blacksmith-crafted construction, naturally weathered wood and untouched dark iron patina retain the character of an original working agricultural implement. Construction and hardware are consistent with a late 19th to early 20th-century example, approximately c. 1880–1920. Significant age-related wear, weathering and wood deterioration are present and visible in the photographs. Excellent primitive Americana, agricultural history and rustic farmhouse décor piece. Antique condition with substantial authentic age, wear, weathering and deterioration to the wood. Iron retains original aged patina. No restoration or refinishing.
