This machine is everything you’ll ever need from a computer, assuming you gave up on your technological ambitions when the Tide Pod challenge was still going strong. It’s got it all - CPU, memory, a big board with lots of wires coming out of it, and enough drive bays to start your own torrent site. You can also relive the glory days of your/your parent’s youth with a fully functional CD-ROM! Go ahead, break out that Shakira/Fall Out Boy mix disc. All black, inside and out, with none of them newfangled LEDs that make your computer look like a damned candy raver. Breaking it down a bit for the GenXers in the room, the system is perfectly solid for general purpose computing and light gaming. It’s professionally built, liquid cooled, and has plenty of power to spare if you’re planning on adding parts. It’s almost silent unless you’re cooking up the GPU. The 32GB of RAM helps keep it punching above its weight class, and at this point the i5 CPU is really the limiting factor. The RTX 2070 has been surpassed by newer chips for a while, but it’s still pretty capable. The machine will run Stable Diffusion and quantized LLMs with acceptable speed, and handles the previous version of Modern Warfare (I’ve lost the plot on their sequel numbering, sorry) just fine. Somehow, it managed to handle Cyberpunk 2077 on modest settings, despite being below the 2.1 minimum specifications. All the hardware works perfectly with both Windows and Linux.
