Description
The instrument seems to be in good basic used condition with lots of tarnish or corrosion spots all over it. I believe the spots can be polished away, but use you own judgment. There is a small dent in the horn at about 5 o'clock below the inscribed name and model. It's small, and there are at least a few tiny dings in the tubing. One valve was sticking a little bit when I bought the horn, but after I first pushed it in, it has worked fine. No one has tried to play since I have owned it, but it should play. The valves with the long stems at the front of the tubing open freely, and the U section at the front slides out easily as does the one sticking out at an angle. The U at the back of the tubing does not seem to want to move, but I don't know if that is supposed to move. Please note that the finger ring that slides out is pictured by the horn in a photo, that there are two mouthpieces and two vintage mutes. The case is in very good condition and the latches work well. This piece is sold as found at a local estate sale, and I HAVE MADE NO EFFORT TO CLEAN, REPAIR OR MODIFY THIS HORN IN ANY WAY. The number on the middle valve is 203867. It's small, and there are at least a few tiny dings in the tubing.
