Description
This 1976 Chevy K10 was originally a 4×4 from the factory. The front differential (‘pumpkin’) is still in place, but a previous owner converted it to 2WD by removing the transfer case, front driveshaft, and swapping in a 2WD version of the transmission. Basically, all the front 4WD hardware is still there, but it doesn’t currently function. To get it back to 4WD, you’d need to reinstall a correct TH350 4×4 transmission, adapter, transfer case (NP203 or NP205), and driveshafts What it would take to bring it back to 4x4 Used th350 out of a donor truck at the scrap yard is about 400-600 Then the linkage and shifter 200, drive shaft 250, mounts/fluids/ujoint 150.. plus time and labor. It’s about a 1500 swap. This is Southern California. We don’t have elements, minimal off-roading and fuel is $5 a gallon. Being a 2x4 it gets a lot better fuel Chevy step side New tires, new rims Brand new paint job New grill New Bluetooth deck New seat cover Super clean lifted New lift 4inch K10 !!
