Description
Japanese Vintage 1960s Set Of 4 Bamboo Leaf Rice Bowls Gold Trim, 5x2.25” Great vintage condition consistent with its age. Pictures are part of the description, please check them & let me know if you require additional ones. Defects & imperfections - please check pictures made under the bright light & magnification: - one bowl has a tiny edge chip - two bowls have a tiny glaze bump or a faint dimple in the porcelain — all original to the firing process and part of their handmade charm Fascinating Fun Facts: • Bamboo is a symbol of strength, flexibility, and long life in Japanese culture. • This shape — with the elevated foot and flared rim — is traditional for rice bowls, known as chawan. • That light blue glaze underneath is a quirky surprise — common in Showa-era tableware but rarely seen once the bowl is upright. Dimensions: 5 x 2.25 in Weight: 1 lb 2 oz Love more than one item from my store? Feel free to message me—I’m always happy to combine shipping or create a custom bundle just for you.
