Description
Striking Color • Elegant Deco-Era Form • This stunning peacock-teal glass vase is a long-held family piece ~ definitely vintage, and quite possibly from the 1930s based on its design and glass characteristics. The vase features: • Vertical fluting reminiscent of early Art Deco styling • A softly scalloped rim • A raised stepped pedestal base often seen in 1930s–40s pressed glass • A deep teal-blue color that glows beautifully in natural light While the exact maker is unknown, the weight, tone, and style align closely with early to mid-20th-century decorative pressed glass. Many collectors associate this color family with Depression-era and pre-war glass. What is certain: this is an older, well-preserved piece with a richer, rarer teal tone than the more common pastel Depression-glass colors. It remains wonderfully water-tight, making it equally lovely for fresh flowers or as a sculptural display piece. As you can see, I am using it for seashells. ✨ Condition • Excellent vintage condition for its age • Color is saturated and luminous • Beautiful display presence 💵 Price Given the age, uncommon color, Deco-style form, and excellent condition, similar vintage teal glass vases (1930s–50s) often list between $125–$195 depending on platform. Asking $160 A fair and justifiable collector price for a piece of this age, style, and color. Especially the color, so pretty with yellow or pink flowers. And gorgeous just displayed alone.
