Description
Georgian era tea service made by Thomas Rose at the Coalport Manufactory during the period 1805-1810. The service is made of bone china and hand-painted with vines with purple leaves and burgundy grapes. The service consists of 20 items: Teapot Candy bowl Candy bowl stand Milk jug 4 tea cups 4 coffee cups 8 saucers The set is in very good condition, no chips on the porcelain, no repair traces. The teapot and candy bowl have wear on the gold plating on the lids and there are also small wears on the gold rims of the cups and saucers. There is a star-shaped crack at the bottom of the teapot, but mostly invisible. Inside the milk jug there is a small dark underglaze stain that formed during manufacture. Please see photos, I tried to make them as detailed as possible. The teapot measures approximately 7.5x10 inches. Candy bowl 6x7 inches Milk jug 5x6.5 inches Coffee cup 2.5x2.8 inches Tea cup 2.8x3 inches Saucer 5.8 inches diameter Please ask for more pictures.
