Beautiful, Rare circa 1978 stein by Villroy and Boch mettal & porcelain pewter tankard ( lid surround). Fairy tales bear stein. The Snow Maiden. Depicts three different scenes. Hand painted with cobalt blue handle and base rim. With porcelain inset on top of lid in the pewter rimmed top. Thumb lifts the lid Mettlach Abbey Model number 1526 No chips or cracks. 8.5" to the highest part of the handle. Gold leafed at base above cobalt blue. Selling for 120.00 Collectable.
