Rare vintage Oahu parlor guitar, built circa 1937–45 in Chicago (likely by Kay) and sold through the Honolulu Conservatory of Music. This model features the original Oahu “Superior Quality Instrument” label, slotted headstock, pearloid fingerboard, tortoise-celluloid pickguard, and ladder-braced construction. Serial No. 30366. These Oahu guitars are prized for their warm, boxy, vintage tone and are excellent for fingerstyle blues or slide playing. Includes the original 1930s chipboard case.
