My experience with NB Motors was overall very positive. From the moment I walked in, the sales team was professional, friendly, and attentive. They took the time to answer all my questions, helped me understand the purchase process, and never pressured me. The buying experience was smooth, transparent, and efficient, making it easy for me to find the right vehicle that fit my needs. I’m very happy with the car itself and the customer service I received directly from NB Motors.

That said, I want to express my concerns about NB Motors’ financial partner, Westlake Financial, as the lien holder on my vehicle. Although NB Motors had no direct involvement in what followed, my experience with Westlake has been frustrating and disappointing.

On June 12th, my vehicle was repossessed by Westlake Financial. We had set up automatic payments to cover the loan, but unfortunately, the payment did not go through successfully. Neither our bank nor Westlake Financial informed us that the payment had failed. We trusted the automatic system to work, and admittedly, it was also our oversight for not double-checking the payment status. Despite this, we submitted full payment on the same day the vehicle was repossessed, expecting it to be resolved promptly.

However, Westlake withheld my vehicle until June 24th—nearly two weeks later. During this time, they moved the vehicle to auction without our knowledge or consent. When the vehicle was finally returned, it was damaged, including a completely broken rearview mirror. Additionally, my car seats were not removed properly; instead, the seat belts were cut out to remove the seats. They didn’t even take the care to remove the cut belts from the car—those belts are still attached, hanging inside the vehicle. To add to the distress, none of my personal belongings inside the vehicle were returned, and my license plates were removed and never given back.

While I understand NB Motors is not responsible for the actions of third-party lien holders, the association with Westlake Financial impacts the overall ownership experience and reflects poorly on the business relationship. The mishandling, lack of communication, and disregard for my property have caused me significant stress and inconvenience.

I hope NB Motors will take this feedback seriously and carefully evaluate their financial partners in the future. Providing excellent service throughout the purchase is commendable, and ensuring customers are protected throughout ownership is equally important.

Despite the issues with Westlake Financial, I stand by my positive experience purchasing from NB Motors and appreciate the professionalism and care the dealership showed me.
