Description

Traveling man Treasures Curiosity vault is selling this fine bronze Burmese Buddha head fragment cast in the Shan styling. The piece was likely fashioned during the late 19th to early 20th century. The head is sensitively carved with a serene contemplative expression, with arched eyebrows bowed high towards the forehead, set above heavy-lidded and closed eyes, a narrow well-shaped nose, bow-shaped lips with an insipid smile, and prominent elongated ears.
