Description

A gurgeous Chippendale serpentine front one piece secretary desk - $225. Made from American walnut (or Mahogany?). Interior opens to four drawers, pigeon holes and hidden compartments. Upper bookcase portion shows an open pediment with turned finial. Doors are glass with fretwork. There are 2 interior bookcase shelves. Hardware is made of brass in classic Chippendale fashion, circa 1920s. The chest stands on two ball and claw front feet and two square back feet. Wonderful classic styling, very heavy and well made. 18.5 inch deep 34 wide 82inch floor to top of finial. Fair vintage condition with some scratches on exterior and interior also some slight damage to interior. One of drawers is stuck - I didn't want damage by trying force it open.
