Description

This little fella may look a bit funny to you but in terms of practicality, it outperforms most modern "eco" models. Except "Big Red" here isn't going to set you back 25 grand or more!!! GOOD: 40+ mpg! Great daily driver, fill the tank for about $25 and drive all week! 1.0 liter 3 cylinder gas sipper with a cold air intake!Gets you where you want to go! A/C works!! I'd recommend recharging it next spring but it works! Five speed manual transmission! Stick shift works great, clutch is nice and smooth!!! Clean title! No b s, own this car today! Everything works! Lights, am/FM radio, turn signals, seatbelts! Off-road lights and light bar wired with separate switches! Front wheel drive! Great tires, almost new! Forceum M/T 08 Pro Off Road tires, for maximum traction in the dirt, 165/80R13 (stock size is 155/80R13) Starts and runs like a champ!!! I've driven this car to Tucson, Casa Grande, Globe, and all over the valley! The "ugliness" can be removed. The wing, extra lights, gas can, "69" on door can be removed; and you still get 40+mpg while shifting like a man in the A/C with your tunes. BAD: Well just look at it! It looks like a Hot Wheels that got left in the sandbox! Yes, the body is a little rough and has some dents, please stop telling me it looks rough. I'm aware. Also the interior is a little crappy. But there are seat covers available for this vehicle. At least the dash isn't cooked, I think there may be one small crack by VIN plate. Headliner is missing and back of bench seats in cargo space is pretty thrashed. If I was going to keep it I'd probably spend about $50 at a fabric store and get some really good adhesive and just cut to fit! The exhaust is straight-piped, no cat. They did a nice job on it, but it won't pass emissions in Maricopa county so I registered at my Mom's in Pinal county! Aftermarket cat can be found as low as $79 online and a shop will install; shouldn't be more than $300 to legitimately pass emissions! Windshield is cracked in a few spots, quotes I got were around $125-180, from mobile guys. Drive in shop would probably be cheaper. Needs wiper blades, and passenger door handle on the inside took a crap I may have time to fix. The "Bad" list really isn't all that bad. For those concerned about the looks, like I said that stuff is reversible. To get it looking less obnoxious and through emissions would only take a few hours and less than $500. This car is pretty mechanically sound, minus a slight oil leak I'm trying to take care of now. This is NOT a "racecar", unless you spend about $1500 to correctly beef it up with a turbo and all that fun stuff. The little 3 banger motor weighs about 135 pounds. I could pull it on the side of the highway and overhaul it that's just crazy!! One of the last cars with an actual carburetor too, for the nostalgic drivers out there. Previous owner also installed ground effects, but I'm not sure if they work and really don't care lol. Selling the car because of HOA parking issues and my license is revoked, I have to drive less conspicuous vehicles to work if I don't want to deal with Johnny Law. Was hoping my stepdaughter would want this to drive around campus, it's very short and easy to parallel park, plus it's super cheap on gas so it's perfect for a student! I am willing to negotiate but I will not respond to ridiculous low offers. Be real, and if you see another vehicle out there with comparable gas mileage, A/C, radio and stick shift then by all means get it! Flippers, this is not the car for you I'm just not desperate, so don't waste my time.
