Vintage 1950s RENOIR Rhythm Copper Clamper Bracelet Mid Century Modern Signed

Vintage 1950s Signed RENOIR Rhythm Copper Mid Century Modern Clamper Bracelet I originally purchased this from a vintage jewelry dealer but never got around to wearing it. Need to downsize my belongings so hopefully someone will enjoy this piece. Please check out pics and note description in Condition. The 1950s Renoir "Rhythm" clamper bracelet is a quintessential example of mid-century Modernist copper jewelry. This line was one of Renoir’s most successful series. Sought after for their sculptural quality and their ability to bridge the gap between traditional jewelry and modern art. Condition: Good; bright copper with a high shine “mirror” finish. There are superficial scratches throughout but due to reflective finish of bracelet it’s not so noticeable. There’s some slight dark patina within the curved swirls mostly on the left; not distracting due to the design & shiny finish. Various tiny spots of darker patina on the interior of the bracelet concealed when worn. The spring isn’t super tight like a new bracelet but the bracelet stays secure on the wrist. Size: approx 2-1/8” interior horizontal measurement taken across the widest point. Design & Aesthetic: The "Rhythm" Pattern: This motif features a series of **stylized, overlapping "S" curves** or scroll-like waves. The design is meant to evoke a sense of continuous motion, characteristic of the geometric and fluid lines found in 1950s atomic-age art. Material: It is crafted from solid copper. Renoir pieces were finished with a specialized **lacquer coating** to prevent the copper from tarnishing or turning the wearer’s skin green, a common issue with lower-quality vintage copper. Form: As a "clamper" style, the bracelet is a rigid, hinged cuff.
