Standing Frame by ovation,

This is a mobility aid used to safely assist the patient with the strengthening of the muscles involved in getting up from a chair (the sitting position) to standing position. There is a nylon "butt" sling that once placed in position between the seat of the chair and the "butt" will, by pulling down on the right side lever, gradually "pull" the patient into a fully standing position. Once in the standing position the butt sling now performs as the safety strap that keeps the patient firmly and safely in the standing position for whatever duration the weakened leg muscles will allow. The entire process builds the muscle strength used in "getting up' from a chair as well as those in use when simply "balancing" the body while the legs are in the fully extended "standing" position.
