Description

What a find!!! 49 glass slides 4" x 3.25" of the National Jewish Hospital which is now an academic medical research facility located in Denver, Colorado specializing in respiratory, cardiac, immune and allergic disorders. It was founded in 1899 to treat tuberculosis. I have slides 1-49 (not sure what happened to #50) The slides are predominantly of sick children presumably most who have tuberculosis. All the slides seem to be in great condition with the exception of slide #2 which is cracked (see pics) The slides also come in their original box carrying case ( 5" x 5" x 10.5") Slides appear to be from the year 1927 - Slides #1 reads "Number and record of cases by states sent to the National Jewish Hospital for consumptives at Denver from January 1900 to July 1, 1927"
