Description
This gorgeous 1920s Jacobean Revival table is an absolute showstopper and a true 100-year-old antique. It features an incredibly unique mechanical flip-top design where the entire surface smoothly hinges and glides forward, while a built-in mechanical arm automatically extends from the rear frame to fully support the open leaf. Because of this clever engineering, the unit is completely self-supporting, centers itself perfectly over the base, and is 100% complete without requiring any loose extension leaves. It changes seamlessly from a slim console table into a full dining or game table. It comes with a rare, original folding top insert that is practically impossible to find intact these days. One side is a smooth leather/woodgrain writing surface, and the other side is a vibrant green felt surface meant for poker, card games, or board games. The wood has a gorgeous, rich character, and the front apron features beautiful, heavy relief carvings and an integrated drawer. Being about 100 years old, it does have some minor historical blemishes and light wear throughout the unit (including the felt drawer lining), but everything functions perfectly and holds beautiful antique character. When closed, it stands 31.5 inches high, measures 53.5 inches wide, and has a depth of 20 inches. When fully opened up, the height shifts slightly to 30.5 inches and the depth expands out to 40 inches. Price is firm, cash only! Located in Hesperia 92345 for local pickup.
