The Black shelves have a bit of paint residue on the back, which of course won't show once it's reinstalled. Or you can just scrub it off. The visible portions are like new. These shelves are awesome for media for small books. We managed to fit them within the tiny space left by an opened bifold closet door. And they're great to install within little desk nooks. We probably have close to a dozen of these installed around the house, but I apparently bought just a few too many. Selling for close to half off Amazon's price. Discounts for buying multiple items, so check out my other listings.
