Description

This is a Yamaha transacoustic electric-acoustic guitar. It's the nicer version with all solid tonewoods. The top is englemann spruce that's been torrified (Yamaha calls it "A.R.E.") - the process crystalizes the wood, achieving a more stable and tonally resonant top that you could only get otherwise from a truly vintage guitar. The back and sides are rosewood. The neck is mahogany with walnut strips that add to the strength & stability. The cherry on top is the built-in transducer - which vibrates the back of the guitar like a speaker. It turns it into a no-amp-required amplified acoustic. It's lovely sounding - almost bell like with plenty of midrange and bass response, but if you want extra depth you can switch on the transducer and make it lush with some reverb, chorus or a mix somewhere in between. The effects are responsive to how hard or softly you play - it's much more organic feeling and sounding rather than an over-processed robotic or digital type of sound. Pretty unique and well executed. It can also be plugged into an amp and the onboard effects can be applied in this configuration. The neck and tuners are solid, rarely do I ever need to tune it even if it's in and out of the case. The neck is all satin finish and has rolled fingerboard edges. No buzzing, dead frets, or anything that would affect playability. Everything is original and I am the only person that's ever owned it. It's got its own fitted Yamaha hard-soft case with built in supportive protection for the guitar neck and headstock. It's very nice and has backpack straps to carry it. There are no damage, dents or deep groves to speak of and the images supplied are true to its state. The pics were taken in natural light so there are some glare flares, it's not blemishes or anything like that. It's a deep-ish grand concert body that's very comfortable to play, no frills. Great for the couch! Any questions or offers, feel free to reach out.
