Stunning, nearly 2,000 year old Roman denarius of Emperor Domitianus, encased in a silver pendant! New 20” Soild silver chain is also included! Beautiful luster and shine, with a great amount of detail, especially for being an ancient object. The pendant can also be opened if necessary, easily removing the coin if needed. An amazing relic and piece of history, which would make a fine addition to any jewelry collection! This denarius was minted in the ancient city of Rome between 90-91 AD, under the Roman Emperor Domitianus (Domitian). The front features a bust of the emperor and has the legend: “IMP CAES DOMIT AVG GERM P M TR P X”. The back features the Goddess Minerva, who was essential to Ancient Rome, and has the legend: “IMP XXI COS XV CENS P P P” Extremely fine example and in amazing condition!
