Classic Cymbal Monkey Stoneware Art Tile by Gretchen Kramp

Working with clay for over 20 years, Michigan-based Gretchen Kramp creates three-dimensional , handmade tiles decorated with cosy creatures and home comforts. This grinning chimpanzee musician will either make you laugh out loud or give you the heebie-jeebies! This money is based on a vintage mechanical toy that starred in a few horror movies as well. This relief tile is hand pressed in stoneware and glazed to emphasize its sculptural dimension. It is notched on the back so it can hang on a nail inside or outside. The tile measures roughly 6”x6” and is about 3/4” thick at the edge corners to about an 1-3/8” deep at its thickest point. It includes the black stand if you do not want to hang it on the wall. This monkey would make a fun gift for a goofy friend, child, or coworker or a musician you know!
