Description
I have too many amps! I need to offload this great little Blackstar tube amp. It's been upgraded with a Mojotone alnico speaker and sounds beautiful in any application. This one has tilt-back legs too. Here is some info on the amp and speaker: The Blackstar HT Club 40 (MkI) is a 40-watt, all-tube 1x12 combo amplifier designed for gigging and versatile tone shaping. Part of the original HT Venue series, it is widely recognized for its Infinite Shape Feature (ISF), which allows users to blend between American and British tonal characteristics. Tube Configuration: Powered by two EL34 power tubes and two ECC83 (12AX7) preamp tubes. Channels & Modes: Features two footswitchable channels (Clean and Overdrive) with four distinct modes: Clean Channel: Includes "Boutique" (Class A) and "Modern" (Class AB) voicings. Overdrive Channel: Offers "Classic Crunch" and "Super Saturated Lead" modes. Infinite Shape Feature (ISF): A proprietary control on the Overdrive channel that shifts the EQ response from a "USA" sound (tighter bass, scooped mids) to a "UK" sound (warmer, more mid-forward). Reverb: Built-in digital reverb with a Dark/Bright switch on the rear panel to change between room and plate-style textures. Connectivity: Includes an effects loop with a level switch (+4dBV/-10dBV), a speaker-emulated output for direct recording, and multiple speaker outputs (1x16 ohm, 1x8 ohm, or 2x16 ohm). The Mojotone Alnico Anthem 12" 40W is a high-headroom guitar speaker designed to offer a warmer, smoother alternative to the ceramic-magnet Anthem series. It is specifically voiced for a classic "American" sound, making it a popular choice for vintage-style tube amplifiers like the 5E3 Tweed Deluxe. Power Handling: 40 Watts. Magnet Type: Alnico. Sensitivity/Efficiency: 97 dB. Voice Coil: 1.5" diameter with a Nomex voice coil. Impedance Options: Available in 8 Ohm and 16 Ohm. Weight: Approximately 5 lbs (2.27 kg). Tonal Characteristics Warm & Rich: The Alnico magnet provides a "creamy" and rich tone compared to the more aggressive ceramic version. High Headroom: Despite its vintage voicing, the 40-watt rating allows it to maintain clarity and "formidable headroom" before breaking up. Smooth Highs: Users report a smooth top end that lacks the "brittle brightness" found in some other speakers, while maintaining tight, clear bass. Breakup: It pairs well with pushed amplifiers, allowing for a natural overdrive that is manageable at studio or room volumes. Pick up or meet near Lynnwood
