The upper section with open shelving and balustrades, as well as the lower cabinet doors with elaborate floral motifs. This is unique piece of furniture. Carved walnut wood with floral and scroll motifs. Black marble top, typical of high-end antique sideboards and buffets. Upper hutch with open shelving and decorative balusters. Paneled cabinet doors and drawers for storage. This type of furniture is also sometimes referred to as a buffet, cupboard, or credenza, but the overall form and decorative elements strongly identify it as a French Renaissance Revival sideboard from the early 1900s.
