Located at Bearden Antique Mall Booth 40 The Declaration of Independence of the United States of America, July 4, 1776, ca. 1873 After Charles Edouard Armand-Dumaresq Museum Quality Textured Giclee Painting on Canvas directly from the Film Production Design Set of “The First Lady, Season One”. Being identical to the original, even in size. This painting of the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776 is by artist Charles Edouard Armand-Dumaresq. Also in the White House Collection is a sketch that may be a draft by the artist for this work. The painting depicts the delegates actively debating and voting on the Declaration. Armand-Dumaresq was a French painter who visited the United States in the 1870s. The original is an Oil On Canvas, with the canvas measuring 29 1/2” × 47 1/2 in” Overall dimensions with frame are 56.5” x 38.5” Housed in a heavy wooden black and gilded ornate frame. This original is part of the White House Collection and can be seen in The Cabinet Room.
