Comer K80 Woltjer Go Kart Racing Engine 9 pix

You are looking at a used Comer K80 go kart racing engine in excellent condition. I bought this engine directly from Gary at Woltjer Racing Engines. Woltjer blueprinted and maintained this engine from day one. It was a real national level motor putting out 10.5 horsepower according to their dyno. I have the dyno sheet somewhere and will try to find it and forward it to the new owner. This motor has three races on it since the last rebuild and will be due for servicing in two more races. The carb was cleaned and gaskets replaced prior to storage and hasn’t had fuel in it since. The clutch was cleaned, lubed and inspected at the same time. Cosmetically, it is really clean and shiny. It does have a few normal usage scratches and chips. A couple of grinding/rubbing marks on the pull start housing from rubbing on the seat. One other thing, the on/off switch is set in the on position and doesn’t move. That is how Woltjer set it up. You either cover the air box and/or set the idle really low to turn it off. Overall, you are looking at a very special motor that has been taken care of and never abused. Lots of memories from racing this class for sure. Please note, price increase due to inflation. 🙈
