Vintage CorNeta Jungle Machete. no_31 (W/Original Case)

Maker: Corneta Model: no_31 Origins: Dominican Republic Signature Corneta “Trumpet logo” Original Case w/ initials “R.D.” This is a Vintage Jungle Machete from the Dominican Republic. They’ve been around since the 1800s. This was a close friends possession that was passed down to me. From what I know its origins are pretty gruesome and not so much something you’d share. If you take the history of machetes in general into account its not hard to believe. I’ve seen this exact one go on an auction website for around $150 back in 2016. That one was in mint condition. (Cleaned up). This one is in fair condition considering its age but I don’t believe its ever been cleaned or sharpened professionally . Not to my knowledge atleast. Its definitely put on some wear over the years(some rust, scuffs, dings). Its all visible in the pics, no surprises. It also comes with a very nice ORIGINAL leather case. Its pretty rare to have this blade W/the case.. This particular case has the initials “RD” burnt into the leather. I’m not sure what the significance is, if there is any. But this blade is pretty crazy in person, you can see the authenticity. Make me an offer if you’re interested...
