Description
Only 30k on the engine! This van is a Peter Sinclair buildout from the '80s, with all the original interior in great condition: cabinetry, working hand-pump powered sink connected to a 10 gallon water tank, red interior velvet with original matching wrap around curtains, and red shag carpet. I replaced the flooring in the middle "room" with a rugged ruggerized flooring over a thin sheet of dense foam. It is soft yet firm, waterproof, and great for the avid outdoorsperson. I used this as a mountain vehicle for a season, and the rugged X Fit AT Tires have a lot of life left. Performs great on snow or ice. I'll throw in the heavy duty chains I have too, if desired. Mechanical features: 154k (rolled over) on the body, with new engine installed (along with all engine adjacent hoses/accessories/etc.) at 122,729k (with detailed receipts). So only ~30k on the new engine! Rebuilt transmission installed about 1k miles before that. Full brake job done about 5k miles ago, and a brand new heater core installed last week. A/C works last I checked, but could probably use a recharge. Air bags in the rear. Accessory features: single solar panel (can't remember the wattage) with solar controller. 2000W inverter. 2 almost new deep cycle marine batteries hooked up to an isolator so they charge from the alternator. Also replaced the alternator with a higher powered one (120 amp? Can't remember exactly) to handle all the charging. Keeps all the batteries charged well with regular driving. Regular double outlets on both sides of the sink and in the rear, along with a DC car plug in the rear. Custom installed powerful diesel heater under the bed (doesn't take up any otherwise usable space) with a 3 gallon tank inside the rear door panel. Warms up the space fast, and has kept me toasty inside down to 10 degrees F. Leather captains chairs with a little wear but mostly in good shape. I've added some extra storage cabinets and alongside bed units, plus built a huge under bed storage bin that slides out to become to foot of the bed. I found the sideways running bed too short (I'm 6'1") so it runs lengthwise now. Comes with a trifold twin mattress that fits perfectly, only slept on it a handful of times. Or you can find a new one for ~$100. Comes with motorcycle rack if desired, and spare tire (needs a new tire but the hub is solid and matches others). A few issues it has: It did not pass DEQ last I tried (Only problematic for Multnomah Co residents). Door seals are a bit worn. Exterior paint is a little worn in places. Hole in the driver seat. I love this vehicle. I lived in it comfortably for a couple years, but alas my life has gone in a different direction and I'm ready to let someone new love it as I have. I've drawn a lot of admiration everywhere I drive this rig.
