1950s vintage hallway phone gossip chair blonde MCM mid-century modern Nice example of a common '50s piece of furniture. These were typically in entryways or hallways where the phone was and you could sit and talk on the phone. You could also sit and gossip, which is why they are called gossip chairs too. Reasonably sturdy and in good condition. The top surface is a little rough and could use refinishing. Although not necessary. The chair seems to have been reupholstered with what looks like a vintage upholstery fabric. This will be a perfect addition to your mid-century modern decor, or an eclectic or maximalist style.
