The Hattori Hanzo Shears HH40T Mazeru is a 40-toothed blending shear that removes 50% of the hair to create a perfect blend in a scissor-over-comb or anywhere else a stylist might be looking to blend. It is also great for adding significant volume to the hair by creating upwards of 40 small bits of hair throughout a layer that will elegantly push the longer hair in that layer. The HH40T is unquestionably a staple in any hair professional’s set of shears. It is–quite simply–a required tool for all stylists and barbers. The Hattori Hanzo HH8 is our most popular shear overall. The Talon was the first shear produced by Hattori Hanzo, and it has undergone slight changes and refinement over the years to make it the “perfect shear” it is today. The HH8 is one of our wet-to-dry shears; it’s a tremendous wet cutting shear with excellent dry cutting properties. And even though it comes in a vast range of sizes, the Talon feels light and evenly balanced. It’s that lightweight feeling that makes it feel so easy to control when it’s in the stylist’s hand. It has an ergonomic handle and features an offset thumb. With one of the most extensive ranges of size in a shear family, the Talon comes in lengths from 5.0” to 7.5” inches. The Hattori Hanzo Shears HHVT3 is a 27-toothed softening tool developed to add slight visual texture and soften the look of hair. In terms of hair removal, this is the gentlest texturizing scissor we make. As an added benefit, we build the HHVT3 with high-carbon steel with the avid dry cutter in mind.
