Description
The iconic Gibson J50. 1969 was a transitional year for these models. They went from round shoulder to square shoulder. They also introduced heavier, forward shifted bracing, but this was before the controversial "double X" bracing. This beauty has seen a lot of action and is in "player's grade." Lots of finish checking and some play wear by the sound hole. But, no cracks and no repairs. Perfect neck angle and great action. Plays easily up and down the neck. Has the original "adj" bridge. It is lifting slightly at the back but seems firm. People frequently have these redone but I think this guitar sounds great. Comes with a non original, but vintage, case. It has a split as pictured. Also comes with a vintage strap, a pitch pipe and the original inspection card! Full disclosure: this guitar was owned by a smoker and has a persistent faint smell of cigarettes. $1350 cheep bux in West Seattle.
