Description
Before you is a FANTASTIC antique (yes, 99 years old +), Singer 99K sewing machine, which was first introduced in 1911 as a more portable version of the Singer 66 model. The 99K is a straight-stitch machine that can sew a variety of fabrics, from delicate silks to heavy denim. It features adjustable tension and stitch length controls. It includes a lever with a graduated scale to adjust stitch length and a reverse feed for back tacking. The 99K was also one of the first portable electric machines, with the option of an electric motor introduced in 1921. These machines were even used on heavy wool coats during major wars! This machine and its case is in very good condition, especially onsidering at its age. The case is solid with an edge of the laminate pulling back some. The machine itself is a beast, and fully operational, though you will want to replace the belt. This indestructible force weighs as much as your car! All parts are original. *Delivery Available
