Up for sale is one of the best examples of sport touring motorcycles ever created. The tried and true twin cylinder boxer engine from BMW has earned its reputation of being one of the most reliable motors ever produced. As much as I love this bike, the time has come for me to let her go since a buddy of mine just sold me his (same bike, but newer). This summer I just finished another 3,500 mile trip through New York, Raleigh, Atlanta, Tuscaloosa, Miami, Key West, and New Orleans. A solid ride all the way through. This bike is way ahead of its time and has a lot of great features, including: Electronic adjustable windscreen Heated handgrips Antilock brakes Power assisted braking Original factory panniers, Givi top case Throttlemeister throttle lock USB power ports Powerlet ports for accessories Since purchasing the bike, I have maintained a solid maintenance schedule. Every year at the start of the riding season, I change the engine oil, gearbox oil, final drive oil, and spark plugs. The rear tire was replaced last season, I only use Michelin on my bikes so it will be good for a long time to come. Service was completed by Scott at Garcia Moto in Raleigh (if ya know, ya know!) The story behind this bike: I bought this bike in 2021with 58k miles. The person I bought it from had purchased it from his friend, who was the original owner. It was first sold in Seattle WA, and was used for trips up and down the West coast. Later the owner took a job in Arkansas, and took the bike there for the duration of his contract. After that, another contract took the the bike out to Charlotttesville VA, where it was used for long trips. When the original owner finished his contract, he decided to sell the bike before moving back to the West coast. The second owner rode it for a few weeks, but ultimately preferred his sport bike and decided to list it for sale. I bought it directly from him shortly afterwards. I'm a little flexible with the price, but no lowballers please. Test rides are okay only with cash in hand! I can also demo ride it for you if you'd prefer not to test ride.
