$5 per 1/2 pound. Mealworm Frass Fertilizer Mealworm frass is a soil amendment that has a NPK 2.5-2-2.5 (compared with cow manure NPK 0.6 0.4. 0.5). No need to compost, the sand-like frass is ready to use and has very little odor to it and a shelf life of approximately 1 year. Suggested uses: Mix 1 teaspoon frass into 1 gallon/3 liters of water to make a compost tea that can be poured into soil, or sprayed directly onto plants. Mix 1 tablespoon of frass directly into as much as 3 cups of soil for potted plants. Use 1 pound/.45 kg. for every 20 square feet/-7 square meters, working deeply into soil.
