Rare Vintage Jewish Thorens music box

Lovely Hanging Music Box, Crisp, vivid colors, frame in very nicecondition, pull string secure, music clear and sounds wonderful. This music box hangs on the wall and has a Thorens Swiss Movement.Pull the string and it plays "Hatikvah" (The Hope) - Israel's National Anthem. Complete with original box and (on back) the original Label. Label reads "Thorens Movement, Hatikvah, Made In Switzerland" 9 3/4" x 8" x 2 1/2 Glass faced and made of wood, this Swiss made music box, features a lithograph by the famous Jewish Artist Arthure Szyk. Arthur Szyk, a concentration camp survivor, is regarded as the premier 20th century illuminator. He works in the style of the 16th century miniature painters. The lithograph that faces this box is named "Israel: A Visual Tour". It is in the exact same dimensions as the original Szyk work. The lithograph is contains the following historical elements: Moses Aaron, the High Priest, brother of Moses The warrior Hur The Ten Commandments King David King Solomon The warrior Bar-Kochba, who led the revolt against Rome, ca. 135 C.E. The prophet Ezekiel, who in Babylonian exile, foretold the return to the Holy Land The Magen David, the Star of David An Israeli soldier An Israeli pioneer and builder, "Chalutz" The Hebrew prayer, "Shehecheyanu", the prayer for newness and celebration, here a reference by Arthur Szyk to the blessing of the creation of the new State of Israel in 1948. ["Praised be You, God, our God, King of the Universe, who has kept us alive, sustained us, and enabled us to commemorate this time"] Israel "The Time of Our Freedom" "If I am not for myself, who will be for me" (a quotation from Hillel the sage) This lithograph was originally created and published in 1949, the first year of the Israel's independence. The original work had an image size of 6 1/2 inches by 8 inches -the same size as the facing in the box.
