Description
Here's the story. February 11th 1994. A fire broke out turning the Ensenada factory into ashes. Fender built an entirely new factory twice the size but it took time. To try and boost production Fender sent extra wood and workers. This was the birth of the notorious "Black label" Mexican fenders. Some of which were made with American made bodies and necks by American hands. This one was a squier series meaning they used a cheaper less expensive pick guard tuners and pickups. Now this where the fun really begins... Upgraded with Seymour Duncan quarter Pound SBJ 3 and hip shot tuners. On a near vintage 30 year old near mint jazz bass built in a Goldilocks time frame in Fender's history. Is it truly American or Mexican? Only the person that built it knows for sure. Pretty tough to beat that for the price though. The pickups and tuners are worth 200 bucks used on their own. People on here or asking 1K for their made in Mexico bass. And up to 500 for their Chinese squiers. I'm bringing you a hot rodded history for way less. 450 bucks takes her home. As you can see from the pictures shes in great shape for her age. Some very small nicks here and there but nothing major. Feel free to ask any questions. Pick up is in the Redlands.
