The General's Dresser Antique Solid Flame Grained Walnut circa 1820's

From the estate of my grandfather, 4-Star Marine Corps General Alfred H. Noble, who retired from his final posting as commandant of Camp Pendleton in 1956. This was his dresser and has been lovingly kept oiled annually and in it's original condition. General Noble traveled the world during his career and moved this dresser with him every time. It was his favorite dresser and was a family heirloom given to him as a wedding present in 1918 after he came back from WWI "to get hitched." General Noble passed in 1983 and the house passed down to his heirs who kept his dresser (and the cup stain) in his memory. Sadly this beautiful dresser now needs a new home as we are making room for other family members (my 92 year-old mother) to move in and need the space. To know more about USMC General Alfred H.
