Vintage Raleigh 1970s Road Bike (for parts/restoration)

Description

Super cool vintage 1970s Raleigh road bike with tube shifters. Got secondhand about 3 years ago and only rode for about 4 months before the thing started to fall apart. I put some limited work into it, replacing the rear derailleur & chain and cleaning up some prior rust damage. However, I still couldn’t get it back to road-safe condition with my very limited bike tech skills, tools, and budget. This bike would need quite a bit of work to become road-safe again, including replacement of the wheels & tires (the heaviest rusting is on the spokes), brake repairs, and significant cosmetic work. However, I think a sophisticated bike tech could take this on, if not score some cool vintage parts off it (at minimum, I guess you could also turn it into a neat art project?). I hate to part with this amazingly cool blast from the past, but I’m moving and just can’t take a restoration project this big with me. Will throw all accessories pictured (lights, rack, comically huge u-lock) in for no extra charge. $50 OBO for the bike, cash or Venmo ok. Must be able to carry down 3 flights of stairs and carry away in your own vehicle (once again I cannot stress enough that this bike is not currently safe to ride!). A note on sizing for anyone who does plan to buy with the intent of restoring and riding: I am approximately 5’7” and I’d say this frame was ever-so-slightly too small for me. I’d guess it’s optimally sized for riders between 5’4” and 5’6”. Pickup Upper Fremont/Wallingford near Woodland Park. Must go before 12/21.
