2001 Subaru Outback

The car runs but doesn't drive. It needs a new transmission. Also the car does need to be towed or put on a trailer. We took the battery out to use for something else. So bring a battery if you want to start it. We also might be able to barrow a battery if someone wants to start it but we would need to return it after the Suby is gone. This car has been in our family since it was bought in 2000 brand new by my husbands mother, after driving it for a few years she gave it to her youngest son who put a new motor in it and used it as his daily driver. Then it was given to my husband and I. It was our daily driver as well until two months ago when the exhaust broke loose while driving. We managed to limp it home and park her where she sits now. My husband is a mechanic so he did all the maintenance and repairs himself for its entire life . We are sad to see her go but we just can't afford to fix her. There is definitely life left in her. We are flexible on price but please no low balling or making offers that are at or below scrap price. If we can't find a new home for her soon, sadly, we will be scrapping her ourselves.
