Description

Up for your viewing and buying pleasure is this great 1920s 4x14 Ludwig & Ludwig snare drum made with the same coveted heavy 2 piece brass shell that the Ludwig Black Beauties and Professional models in the 1920s were made with. These 4x14 models are more rare than the 5x14 drums. It is in good overall condition for a drum that is about a century old. There are no extra holes or alterations. All of the tension rods and most clips are original, except for 4 new replacements The top & bottom hoop are Nickel Over Brass with the single flanged design. The 2-Pc.NOB shell is in round, with no significant dings or dents. Although, the nickel plated shell has a lot of scratches throughout. This is typical for a drum of this age that was played from this 20s circa. A great vintage snare with that desirable vintage metal shell tonality. This is the same shell that the famous Ludwig “Black Beauty” snare is made with.
