Perfect tall statue of the crane bird, he is excellent(!) I haven't cleaned it up any from the condition I obtained it in other than dusted it. The base has a couple dings/dents at the edge, one dent is a little more visible than the other; there's a tiny spec of white paint spatter on the base that of course very easily cleans away. This wonderful Castilan bird decor still has a massive life span ahead of it! 19" tall to the tip of it's beak, 12 1/2" at the base of it's neck, it's round base/pedestal is 6" diameter. The crane bird mates for life and dance is an important part of their courtship. The crane is considered a symbol of happiness and eternal youth. The dance of the crane is considered a dance of love of joy and a celebration of life. The crane bird should not to be confused with the similar in appearance heron bird! The crane has more powerful flying capabilities, is omnivore, and primarily holds their neck erect or straight particularly notable when in flight. The heron is carnivore, and primarily has it's neck in an "S"particularly notable when in flight and doesn't have as massive flight capabilities as the crane. ~ NW OKC.
